How to lose baby weight the right way

Having a new baby will be the best time in your life. But when you do find the time to look at yourself in the mirror you will wonder whether you will ever be able to lose all the extra pounds on you. But you can be in the best shape of your life with the right diet and life style changes.

Start while pregnant

The less you gain the less you have to lose. Do light exercise like walking, swimming or yoga and ensure that you do not gain more than the recommended weight and don’t use pregnancy as an excuse to “eat for two”, eat healthy.

Do not start to exercise right away

The body undergoes drastic changes to accommodate the baby during pregnancy. You need to give the body time to re adjust itself after the delivery before placing the stress of exercise. For example running or jogging should not be done until at least after e eight weeks in order to allow the pelvic floor muscles to recover.

Breast feed

You will burn the calories while breast feeding, but many women find that they feel hungrier while feeding. Eat a sensible diet including yoghurt and light cheese to get your calcium requirement.
