Healthy ways to gain weight

Given a time when everyone is concerned about weight loss it is hard to even imagine that there could be people who are struggling to gain weight due to various reasons. Just like with losing weight there is a healthy way to gain weight as well and does not mean that you should eat everything in any quantity.

Eat a high calorie diet which is rich in nutrients and not high calorie foods with empty calories such as foods high in sugar and fat. Consume more calories than you would burn.

If you lack the appetite do some form of exercise before having a meal which will make you feel hungry and eat foods that you like to eat.

Eat healthy foods often to up your calorie intake. Target to eat six mini meals which should include protein, carbohydrates, fat and vitamins.

If you want to bulk up your muscle mass you need to have a high protein diet coupled with regular strength training exercises to develop body mass. Have a protein shake or a high protein bar right after weight training to repair and build muscle.

Sleep 8 hours night to give your body the necessary time to heal and repair the body.
